Hello!  I'm Elizabeth Carter (call me Beth), and I'm a total Type A personality and probably the only one in Sister Mary Leo's 4th grade English class who enjoyed diagramming sentences. But that makes me a perfect writer. Nothing makes my heart sing like a well crafted sentence (well, maybe a clean house)!

I earned my Master of Public Policy in 1995 from the University of Michigan, but don't let that fool you. My blood runs green and white; I received my Bachelor of Science in Economics from Michigan State University.

I have a good ear for foreign languages and speak Japanese (lived there for a year), Spanish, and a teeny bit of French.

I've critiqued Japan's technology policies for the US Department of State and developed marketing materials for joint US-Japan environmental research projects.

I've analyzed the financial statements and business plans of clients looking to facilitate their working capital financing and increase overseas sales.

I've researched and written a business plan for a start up company to help the owner focus her strategy as she develops her business.

I've garnered positive publicity for a local children's theater group and helped them double their membership in less than a year.

I've written copy for numerous websites and corporate newsletters, been a contributing editor on Suite 101.com and the Business Ledger, and published articles all over the internet.

I'm active with the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, where I'm a member of the Speakers Bureau and the Marketing Chair for the Business Advisory Committee.  I also sit on the board of directors for Kidz Kabaret, a local children's theater group.
